About

Born and raised in Toronto, David Rouben got the knack for filmmaking when he went through journalism school in 2017. Currently pursuing a degree in education, he was given a unique opportunity to meld these two passions together by making a documentary film about Jane and Finch’s Wadoka Academy. Based on the success of The Art of Hope, David has now launched Community Lenz Productions with the goal of telling compelling human-interest stories that focus on the communities that shaped them and the important role of education in their life. Community Lenz also provides videography for events upon request. David can be reached by email here.

What we promote:

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Our films embrace the richness of diversity. We want to create equal opportunity for people from different backgrounds, and experiences, to thrive in our creative endeavours.

Youth Empowerment: As an educator, I want to help the next generation become their own artists and creators. By making youth-focused projects, I want kids to express their vision and make a meaningful impact on the world.
